Goodbye Bob Welch
I'm just completely saddened to hear about the death of Bob Welch, one of the most underrated members in Fleetwood Mac's long history and definitely the bridge between the blues of the Peter Green Mac and the California rock of the Rumours era.
His albums with the Mac, particularly Bare Trees and Mystery To Me, are under-appreciated gems and he also recorded some fine solo albums, in particular Three Hearts and French Kiss, which contained his classic Sentimental Lady. Here he is in happier times performing Miles Away with the Mac on the Midnight Special in 1973.
